Abstract

The paper aims to study the impact of season on the diversity of the leaf beetle population in Garbhanga Reserve Forest and how it inflicts damage to the vegetation through its different feeding habits in a wide variety of host plants. A total of 1673 individuals belonging to 24 species under 14 genera and 5 subfamilies were recorded from the five chosen plots. The diversity of the Chrysomelids beetle in the five chosen plot was compared by using different parameters– species composition, total abundance, species richness and diversity.
